And I’m focusing on the film-festival aspect of it. Anyone wanna suggest films that explore anarchist themes or events? I’m especially interested in films with anarcha-feminist ideals, films with a decolonization / anti-colonial / indigenous perspective, films that deal with race / white supremacy, and films from a queer / transgender perspective.

Occupy Oakland-er Jessica Hollie (aka BellaEiko) lets Oakland city council fucking HAVE IT for their attempt to restrict speech and prevent people from defending themselves with shields against the violent and sadistic Oakland Police Department, and takes them to task for spending so much money on the violent gang that is OPD but defunds essential social services. Shit is inspiring as FUCK.

Yeah I’d say that the phenomenon that white people often claim as “reverse racism” is actually just what happens when their position of privilege is challenged at all. Since white folks generally do not have any kind of understanding of their white privilege, when this privilege is (temporarily) challenged, suspended, impinged etc, they perceive it as a disadvantage, as discrimination, as unfair. A fairly logical, understandable, and completely insidious conclusion, based on the warped viewpoint that white privilege (and the widespread and intentional propaganda created to sustain it) engenders.
